Host your meeting at the Center for Philanthropy!
Our meeting spaces are named after local social justice heroes. Read their bios here.
We know that community building happens in shared spaces. We are fortunate to have meeting spaces available at The Center for Philanthropy, and are honored to offer them to Oregon and SW Washington-based community groups at no cost. Please follow the below steps to submit a reservation request.

Transportation and Parking
The Center for Philanthropy is located at 221 NW 2nd Ave., Portland, OR 97209. There is a Parking NW pay lot located directly behind the building, on NW 3rd Ave. between NW Everett and NW Davis Sts. The current day rate is $12.50 (as of June 2024). Parking in our lot is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please email Matthew Jordan (matthew@northwesthealth.org) for more details about our lot. Parking is also available on the street (using the pay machines or Parking Kitty app), at the Parking NW pay lot at NW 2nd & Davis, or at the Old Town Smart Park at NW Naito Pkwy. and NW Davis St.
The building is conveniently located to public transit. We are one block west of Old Town/Chinatown MAX station (Blue and Red Lines) and are a few blocks east of the NW 6th and Davis (Green and Yellow Lines) and 5th and Couch MAX stations (Green and Orange Lines). We’re also near many bus lines and Portland’s Union Station. Please visit TriMet for trip planning information. Bike parking is available in the parking lot behind our building, near the rear entrance. There are several Bike Town bike stalls near our building as well.

Only service animals are allowed in our meeting spaces. Please don’t bring any pets.
Step Five. Prepare for your meeting.
Food & Catering
Your organization is welcome to bring in food or have it catered. If you need any assistance with catering information or local restaurant options, please contact Matthew Jordan.
We have coffee and tea available at no cost, along with half and half, vegan creamer, sugar, and no-calorie sweeteners. We provide glasses, cups, dishes, and silverware. Following your meeting, we kindly ask that groups clean up, load, and start the dishwashers.
A/V Manuals
Note: As of April 2023, we have discontinued conference phone service at the Center for Philanthropy. In the Ramona Room, the touch panel at the lectern will continue to function for controlling the projection system, but will no longer make calls or tie into our audio system for speakers/microphones. Instead, we have switched to portable Jabra Speak devices in both Ramona and Arthur, which connect easily via USB to either the room computers, cellphone (via Bluetooth) or to a laptop for Zoom/Teams/Google Meet, or other platforms.
Updates will be coming to our A/V manuals soon!
